BUCE presented exchange trading tools at UzFood expo in Tashkent

Konstantin Chapkovsky, lead specialist of BUCE’s Foreign Economic Activity Department, attended the UzFood 2026 international food exhibition, which took place on April 1-3 in Tashkent. As part of his participation in the expo, BUCE representative held an exchange trading workshop for Uzbek businesses as well as individual meetings with trade organizations from Central Asian countries interested in importing Belarusian dairy, semi-finished meat products, sugar, and feed additives. Accreditation of these companies on BUCE will help boost the volumes and expand the range of Belarus-made goods exported to the region.

According to BUCE, residents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan bought 67.8 million USD worth of Belarusian goods on the exchange platform in January-March 2026. This is twice the amount purchased within the same period of 2025. Agricultural products accounted for 51% of Belarus's exports to Central Asian countries via BUCE.

During his visit to Uzbekistan, BUCE representative also met with Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, Head of the Department for Strategic Planning, Information Analysis, and International Cooperation at the Agency for the Development of Light Industry under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties agreed to scale up the positive experience of using the exchange auctions to sell Uzbek textile raw materials in Belarus. To this end, of BUCE and the Agency intend to combine their efforts in a bid to attract Uzbek producers of cotton yarn and polyester thread to the Belarusian exchange platform.
