Bauyrzhan Gaysa, Deputy Director General of the Kazakhstan Trade Policy Development Center “QazTrade”, visited BUCE head office in Minsk to discuss promising areas of collaboration between the two organizations within the frames of the cooperation agreement signed in November 2025.
In the course of the talks, the sides agreed that in addition to sharing information and holding joint awareness raising events for the representatives of the Kazakh business community they will take practical steps to boost the volumes of exchange trading between Belarus and Kazakhstan. Importantly, the parties intend to focus their efforts not only on increasing exports of Belarusian goods to the Kazakh market, but also on importing more of Kazakh-made products that are sought after in Belarus.
According to Bauyrzhan Gaysa, the exchange platform opens up real opportunities for Kazakhstani companies to both purchase and sell goods in Belarus by simplifying the search for new business partners and reducing the risks associated with foreign trade.
“Having familiarized myself with the operating principles, features, and advantages of the Belarusian exchange platform, I can confidently say that this instrument will be a valuable aid in achieving our shared goal of increasing mutual trade turnover. Ferroalloys, grain, cotton fiber, and sunflower oil – we are ready to supply all of these commodities to Belarus through the exchange. At the same time, we are also interested in importing some products from your country. These include powdered milk, butter, meat, and lumber. The convenience of the exchange lies in its wholistic approach that enables it to gather everything in one place – supply and demand, imports and exports, raw materials and finished goods. Therefore, I strongly believe that our coordinated activities aimed at implementing the cooperation agreement will contribute to further strengthening of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Belarus," emphasized the Deputy General Director of QazTrade.
In 2025, the value of exchange transactions made on BUCE by residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan increased 1.5-fold to exceed 43 million USD. The main driver of this growth was the export of Belarusian agricultural products, which accounted for 96% of the two countries' exchange trade turnover. The most popular commodity groups with the Kazakhstani buyers were powdered milk, butter, sugar, beef, and lumber.
Last year, the pool of exchange trading participants from Kazakhstan also expanded significantly – from 146 in early 2024 to 201 in late 2025.
