BUCE will provide a platform for interaction between Belarusian and Indonesian businesses

09/26/2025

BUCE will assist in strengthening trade and economic relations between Belarus and Indonesia by providing its electronic platform for effective interaction between business entities of the two countries. This proposal was made during the presentation of BICE’s capabilities at the Indonesia-Belarus Industrial Investment and Business Forum held on September 26 in Jakarta. BUCE participated in the event remotely.

The exchange mechanism is expected not only to facilitate business contacts between Belarusian and Indonesian companies and provide a reliable channel for mutual trade, but also to optimize the supply chain in both directions by eliminating unnecessary intermediaries. Given the significant share of the agricultural sector in the economies of Belarus and Indonesia, the primary focus in the development of exchange trading between the countries will be made on agricultural products and more specifically on such marketable commodities as milk powder, butter, cheese, and meat products. All leading Belarusian producers of these products are accredited on BUCE, which will enable regular exports of Belarusian products to Indonesia –the largest country in Southeast Asia. Indonesian companies, in their turn, may become key suppliers of some highly sought after food raw materials to Belarus, including cocoa powder, palm oil, and coconut flakes that confectionery companies usually purchase through BUCE.

Furthermore, if BUCE accredits an exchange broker in Indonesia, the country will serve as a gateway for sales of Belarus-made goods to other countries in the region, thus promoting the expansion of exchange trading. Currently, 14 companies from 5 Southeast Asian countries – Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Singapore – are represented on BUCE. Export sales of Belarusian skimmed milk powder, cream powder, softwood lumber, and sulfate pulp account for the bulk of exchange transactions in 2025.
