BUCE registers first company from Mongolia

01/20/2023

Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has registered the first company from Mongolia thereby expanding the geography of exchange trade that now encompasses 71 countries on 4 continents. The newly registered Mongolian company plans to use BUCE as a tool for selling minerals for the Belarusian steel industry as well as for buying agricultural and metal products made in Belarus.

«The Mongolian business got interested in the exchange platform for a reason. The thing is that all Belarusian metallurgical enterprises are currently registered on BUCE and regularly participate in the trades. The amount of transactions in with metal products reached 2.2 billion BYN last year. In other words, some of the largest consumers and producers of goods the Mongolian company intends to buy and sell are concentrated on the exchange. The same can be said about the agricultural segment that offers a wide range of products manufactured by Belarusian agricultural enterprises, including exporters of milk, cream and butter, all of which enjoy steady demand in Mongolia. Furthermore, the level of risk associated with exchange trading is usually much lower than in case of OTC deals as BUCE employs an effective monitoring system to ensure that obligations under exchange contracts are met in full. Therefore, the use of our trading platform as an access point to the Belarusian market is more than justified,» BUCE press service said.

It is expected that as the next step in cooperation with BUCE the Mongolian enterprise will receive the status of an exchange broker. This will allow it to act as BUCE’s official representative in Mongolia and bring in new importers and exporters.
