China's AEEX will help boost Belarus' exports to China via BUCE

Xinjiang Asia-Europe International Trading Center (АЕЕХ) will help increase exports of Belarusian products to China via BUCE. According to Zhang Hongping, AEEX Chairwoman, the company will not only provide information support and assistance in organizing business events in China but also bring new Chinese importers to BUCE’s trading platform.
“China's economy is currently recovering from the pandemic, which fuels the demand for raw materials and finished products, while the country’s highly developed e-commerce sector creates a conducive environment for introduction of commodity exchange instruments. Therefore, it is crucial to consolidate efforts and offer Chinese companies an all-in-one solution for working with Belarus, which includes an electronic marketplace as well as information, logistics and financial services. We could also involve in this project our partners from the banking sector and Sinotrans, one of the largest transport and logistics operators in China. The main thing is to move from the planning stage to the practical implementation of the agreements ASAP,” Zhang Hongping said during the visit to BUCE headquarters in Minsk.
Ms Zhang also believes that arranging the deliveries of Belarusian goods to China via BUCE will not require a huge marketing budget as Chinese consumers are already familiar with the “made in Belarus” brand, and all the key export commodities listed on BUCE are sought after in the Chinese market.
“Sawn timber, milk powder, rapeseed oil, meat products… China imports all these goods from all over the world, including Belarus. Moreover, over the recent years, Belarusian products have gained popularity in China, which, in my opinion, makes it significantly easier to promote the commodity exchange mechanism. I suggest that we focus on the regions covered by the New Silk Road route such as Shanghai, Taicang, and Xinjiang. We have offices in each of them, so we’ll be able to reach out to the local Chinese companies interested in doing business in Belarus via BUCE," Ms Zhang said.
