Andrei Novikov, BUCE Senior Vice-Chairman, made the above statement during the meeting with the representatives of China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE) that expressed interest in purchasing meat and other Belarusian agricultural products via BUCE.
"Our electronic marketplace allows accumulating offers from Belarus' largest agricultural producers. This way, we can always provide the amount you need and ensure regular shipments. In addition, we monitor the execution of all exchange contracts, which means that the risk is minimal compared to the OTC market," Andrei Novikov emphasized.
He also noted that as CAMCE is the largest shareholder of the Great Stone Industrial Park this offers massive opportunities for cooperation in logistics.
"With its ramified infrastructure and strategic location, Great Stone could become a perfect logistics hub for consolidation of cargos sold to China via BUCE. Above all, these are timber products, rapeseed oil, milk powder, and meat and flaxseed fiber. All these commodities are in great demand in the Chinese market," Andrei Novikov believes.
In his turn, the deputy head of CAMCE representative office in Belarus confirmed the corporation's readiness to use BUCE for purchasing beef and possibly other agricultural goods later on.
"In 2021, our subsidiary purchased 4 million USD worth of beef in Belarus. This year we would like to increase the volumes and your trading platform may help us achieve this goal. We are interested not only in meat but also in other agricultural products made in Belarus. We hope that with BUCE’s assistance we’ll be able to expand the range of Belarusian suppliers and secure better deals that on the OTC market. As for your proposal to cooperate in logistics, we will certainly consider it and give feedback as soon as possible," CAMCE representative assured.
