BNBС made its first export transaction on BUCE

12/17/2021

As part of the strategic cooperation with BUCE, the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC) has made its first export transaction by selling a batch of feed additives (L-lysine sulfate) to Russia. According to BUCE press service, up to this moment BNBC has been using the exchange platform exclusively for buying raw materials and as an additional channel for selling its own products on the domestic market.

“Currently, over 2,700 business entities from Russia are registered on BUCE, including major agricultural enterprises and farms that are potential consumers of BNBC’s products such as L-lysine sulfate, which is widely used in animal husbandry. In other words, the target audience was already present on our trading platform, and essentially BNBC only had to choose the best offer. The transaction can be viewed as the corporation’s first experience of exporting goods via BUCE, because until now it has been using the exchange mechanism only domestically: for selling compound feed, premixes, and grain and for buying sunflower meal and corn. In order to intensify our cooperation with BNBC we are planning to expand the list of potential buyers of deep grain processing products in the Russian Federation and other promising markets. Practice shows that whenever BUCE teams up with exporters it tends to produce a powerful synergistic effect”, BUCE press service underscored.

In January-November 2021, the export of agricultural products via BUCE increased by 56%, to 126 million USD. Rapeseed oil, meat, dairy products, and leather goods accounted for most of the transactions.
