BUCE plans to develop a new trading system

07/07/2020

Before the year’s end, Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) plans to start developing a new trading system, which is supposed to simplify participation in exchange trades, primarily for foreign companies. Modular architecture, single web interface and support for multiple languages will be among the key features.

According to BUCE’s Senior Vice-Chairman Andrei Novikov, the upgraded trading system will be not only more flexible, user-friendly and scalable but also help expand the geography of exchange trade.

“Currently, the participants of metal, timber and agricultural trades have to install additional software and update it on a regular basis. The new trading system will free our clients from this hassle. Instead of standalone software modules, we are going to implement a single web interface. It means that in order to access the trading system one will only need a browser and Internet connection. What is more important: traders will be able to interface with the system using their native language – be it English, Polish, German, Chinese or Arabic. We expect that this will make our trading platform more attractive to foreign companies that would like to enter the market of Belarus via BUCE”, Andrei Novikov noted.

Creation of a new trading system is included in BUCE’s development strategy until 2025 and is a part of a package of measures design to automate core business processes and improve customer service.
