BUCE hopes to ramp up cooperation with China

10/20/2017

On October 19, BUCE spokesperson gave a speech at a meeting with a Chinese business delegation exploring the prospects of using BUCE’s e-trading platforms to boost Belarusian timber exports. The event was arranged and hosted by Minsk office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus.

The representatives of the Chinese business community learned the details of how timber is exported via BUCE, what a foreign company needs to participate in exchange auctions and what advantages the exchange mechanism can offer to Chinese businesses willing to buy timber in Belarus. BUCE spokesperson also paid special attention to methods of securing exchange transactions as well as extra services rendered by BUCE to its clients, such as exchange logistics and information support.

Besides the presentation of BUCE’s core business activities, BUCE spokesperson held talks with several Chinese firms (CNBM International Corporation, China National Heavy Machinery Corporation, Beijing New Building Material Group, and Beijing Deepcool Industries) interested in selling construction materials, industrial equipment, and components via BUCE. Based on the results of negotiations, there are plans to study the feasibility of registering the above companies as BUCE members and thus enable them to trade at BUCE’s electronic platform of industrial and consumer goods.
