Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and Africa Union Holdings held talks on further cooperation

04/28/2017

On April 27, a business delegation from the South African Republic (SAR) led by James Ndambo, Chairman of Africa Union Holdings (AUH), paid an official visit to BUCE headquarters in Minsk. Yuri Shostak, CEO of Africa Union Commodities (AUH’s Belarusian branch), and Cholve Sikakwa, national coordinator of Africa Union Financial Services (AUH’s subsiduiary) technical department also took part in the talks with BUCE administration.

The sides discussed the recent progress in implementation of the previously reach cooperation agreements, analyzed the performance of Africa Union Commodity House (a regional electronic trading platform), and agreed on both near- and long-term priorities for AUH – BUCE collaboration. In particular, BUCE is currently studying the feasibility of AUH’s accreditation as a non-resident exchange broker, which is supposed to make the promotion of BUCE services in SAR more efficient. In addition, there is a possibility that AUH will upgrade its trading system using BUCE’s software solutions implemented in the latest version of its electronic trading platform of Industrial and Consumer Goods.
