On March 16, 2016, a delegation of Aroma Investment JSC (Vietnam) visited BUCE head office to get an insight into BUCE’s activities and identify promising areas of cooperation. The visit was arranged in association with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
During the talks, the Vietnamese businessmen got familiar with the operation of BUCE’s trading platforms as well as key advantages of implementing the exchange mechanism in cross-border trade. In particular, the sides discussed the feasibility of supplying the Belarusian sawn timber, meat and milk powder to Vietnam along with possible shipments of Vietnamese natural rubber to Belarus’ major tire producer – Belshina. In the latter case, it is likely that BUCE’s electronic trading platform of industrial and consumer goods will be used.
Furthermore, Aroma Investment JSC expressed interest in cooperating with BUCE in exchange logistics. Should exchange transactions with Vietnamese companies grow steadily in the future, an exchange warehouse might be registered in Vietnam.
Drawing a line under the meeting, the sides agreed to study the areas of cooperation identified in the course of the talks and come up with specific proposals regarding the commodities that could be interesting for both – Vietnam and Belarus. Aroma Investment JSC accreditation at BUCE will be the first practical step in this direction.
