On December 18, 2015, a Hungarian delegation accompanied by Bertalan Szentpeteri, trade counselor of the Embassy of Hungary in the Republic of Belarus, visited BUCE head office.
During the talks, the Hungarian businessmen got familiar with BUCE’s core activities and the performance of Hungarian companies accredited at BUCE. Given the significant potential for growth of the volume of exchange transactions concluded by Hungarian companies, the Hungarian side expressed interest in cooperating with BUCE in purchasing Belarusian products and shipping Hungarian goods to Belarus and Eurasian Economic Union countries. In particular, the sides discussed the possibility of placing sales calls for Hungarian foodstuffs at BUCE’s industrial and consumer goods platform as well as purchase bids for Belarusian raw materials.
In the nearest future, it is planned to compile a list of prospective Belarusian and Hungarian commodities that could be traded at the exchange. After that, the sides will proceed with implementation of agreements reached in the course of the meeting.
