On November 10-14, 2015, BUCE representative made a business trip to Latvia and Lithuania in order to participate in the business forum “Belarus-Latvia cooperation: Daugavpils, Liepaja, Liepaja port – new opportunities for exporters, importers, and investors” (organized by the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship and Latvian Confederation of Employers) and establish new contacts with the Lithuanian business community.

In the course of the forum, BUCE expert delivered a report on “Practical opportunities for using the electronic platforms of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange as a means of boosting Belarus-Latvia trade” and held talks with the representatives of the City Council, regional office of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Latgale business associations. Electronic and exchange trade instruments provided by BUCE invited keen interest of the Latvian business community and the sides discussed their possible use in a bid to ramp up mutual trade between Belarus and Latvia.
