BUCE delegation led by Oleg Yakubovich, Senior Vice-Chairman of the Board, took part in the official opening ceremony of the International Industrial Exhibition “Metall-Expo 2015” in Moscow.

During the expo, BUCE experts held talks with top managers of major metal traders from various countries in a bid to expand the geography and increase the number of exchange trade participants. BUCE delegation also joined forces with MMK-Metiz, Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers, Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Belarus to arrange a large-scale international conference “Electronic metal trading platform of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange – an effective tool for developing Customs Union metal market”. The conference gathered over 50 large metal producers and traders interested in using the exchange trade mechanism to sell their wares in Belarus. Following panel discussions and B2B negotiations, a number of attendees of the conference voiced willingness to get accredited and start trading via BUCE.

For reference. “Metall-Expo” is one of key annual events in Russia’s metal industry that brings together leading market players from all over the world. In 2015, some 560 companies from 32 countries attended the expo.
