On November 11-14, 2015, BUCE working group took part in Belarus-Turkey Investment Forum in Istanbul that gathered over 500 representatives of major Turkish companies, financial institutions and international organizations.

During B2B talks regarding the participation of Turkish businesses in exchange auctions for metal, timber and agricultural products as well as consumer and industrial goods, BUCE experts explained the advantages of using the exchange mechanism in Belarus-Turkey bilateral trade. Based on the outcome of the talks, the sides agreed to compile a list of commodities that Turkish companies could buy and sell at BUCE’s electronic trading platforms. Seeking to further expand its client base BUCE also held talks with the representatives of Ras al-Khaimah Free Economic Zone concerning the possible participation of the zone’s residents in exchange auctions.

In addition, the agenda of the visit to Istanbul included a meeting with BUCE’s representative in Turkey – Indeks A.S. Jan Beyoglu, the company’s CEO, informed BUCE working group about his efforts to promote BUCE’s services in Turkey and suggested further course of action in view of the increasing interest of the Turkish business community in exchange trade.
