2012.03.20 | The meeting of the General Assembly at the 15th Annual AFM Conference

On 7-9, March, 2012 the working group of Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange OJSC headed by Chairman of the Board Arkady Salikov took part in the meeting of the General Assembly at the 15^th Annual AFM (Association of Futures Markets) Conference.

In the framework of the roundtable “Developing CIS commodity exchange markets” BUCE’s representatives reported on the current situation in the Belarusian commodity exchange market, made a presentation of BUCE’s trading platform among the AFM member exchanges and set up discussions on perspectives of interbourse co-operation.

The working group held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Hungary Alena Kupchyna during which ways of intensifying the use of exchange trade tools for expanding the list of goods manufactured in Belarus and exported to central European countries were discussed.

BUCE’s representatives established business contacts with Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Trade and a number of large trading companies that had expressed a wish to get accredited at BUCE. The Exchange’s working group reached an agreement with director of a consulting company, investment agent of Belarus Mr. Jenő Faller on attracting companies from Hungary, France and Austria to BUCE’s exchange auctions.
