2012.09.10 | Statistics: Imported meat share in Russia down to 20% in Jan–Jun The share of imported meat on the Russian market fell to 20.1% in January–June from 22.1% in the same period of last year, the Federal State Statistics Service said Thursday.The share of imported milk and dairy products dropped to 17.4% in the reported period from 19.6% in January–June 2011, the federal service said in a statement. The country’s total meat resources increased 3.9% in January–June, while those of milk and dairy products rose 0.8%. Grain resources increased 21.1% in the fist half of the year. The country used 39 million tonnes of grain, including 18.4 million tonnes for processing, 7 million tonnes for seeds, and 4.4 million tonnes for forage. PRIME-TASS return |
