2012.06.11 | Russia’s UMMC to start producing ore in Voronezh Region in ‘22 Russia’s Urals Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) plans to start producing ore at nickel fields in the Voronezh Region in 2022 and mine up to 50,000 tonnes that year, Grigory Rudoi, director of the company’s mining department, told reporters late Thursday.The company plans to launch prospecting and evaluation works at the fields in January 2013 and their first stage will be completed at the end of 2014. “Should the reserves be proved, at the end of 2016 we will begin the development of construction documents,” Rudoi also said.
