2012.05.21 | Ministry: Russian sugar plants capacities may grow 30% in 3 years The capacities of sugar-processing plants in Russia may increase 30% by the end of 2015, the Agriculture Ministry said Friday citing ta report by the sugar manufacturers’ trade union Soyuzrossakhar.“The processing facilities of 18 plants increased by 2.9% or by 9.7 tonnes of sugar beets per day, which the capacity of a completely modern plant,” the ministry said. Russia re-started its exports of sugar in 2011. According to Soyuzrossakhar’s data, more than 300,000 tonnes of sugar from the 2011 harvest was exported. PRIME-TASS return |
