2012.06.04 | Russia’s United Grain Co sends 24,470 tns of wheat to NicaraguaRussia’s public United Grain Company has sent the third batch of wheat amounting to 24,470 tonnes under the program of humanitarian aid to Nicaragua, the company said in a statement Friday.
The first batch was sent in November 2011, and the second one – in April 2012 after relevant presidential and governmental decrees were signed.
The total amount of humanitarian aid will stand at up to 100,000 tonnes of wheat. Supplies will be concluded in October 2012. The Russian government covers the cargo’s transportation costs to a Nicaraguan port and all other relevant costs.
