2012.06.04 | Agency: Russian fisheries’ catch rises 0.2% on year in Jan–May Russian fisheries’ catch rose 0.2% on the year to 1.75 million tonnes in the period from January 1 to Tuesday, according to the Federal Fisheries Agency’s statement.The total catch in Far East Basin fell 2.2% on the year to 1.201 million tonnes; in the Northern Basin the catch decreased 3.9% on the year to 293,300 tonnes; in the Baltic Sea it grew 5.0% on the year to 20,600 tonnes; in the Azov–Black Sea Basin the catch rose 3.6% on the year to 14.300 tonnes; in the Caspian Basin it slid 17.5% on the year to 13,700 tonnes, and the catch under quotas in zones of foreign countries rose about 33% on the year to 170,400 tonnes.
