Switzerland-based food and beverage giant Nestle plans to launch a 1.6 billion ruble culinary production in Russia’s Vladimir Region in summer 2012, the region’s external economic department official told reporters on Saturday.

The company initially planned to launch the production at the end of 2011, but postponed it due to longer than expected construction period, the official added, without specifying concrete dates.

“Currently, the company is adjusting the technological process and testing products. Moreover, the firm continues construction of auxiliary buildings and communications installation,” he also said.
