2010.08.23 | Russian police crack down on timber smuggling ring in Far East Russian police have cracked down on an international timber smuggling ring in the country’s Far East, an Interior Ministry spokesperson told ITAR-TASS.The ring, which includes Chinese nationals, smuggled Russian timber worth 1.5 billion rubles to China in 2008–2010, the spokesperson said.
