2010.04.23 | Brestskoe Pivo starts brewing Desant brand under contract with Ukrainian Obolon Belarus-based OAO Brestskoe Pivo brewery has started making Desant brand under a contract with Ukrainian ZAO Obolon, a source in Obolon told Prime-Tass.The contract was signed in February 2010 for 12 months with a possibility of extension. The brewery’s output increased 2.2% year-on-year in January-March 2010 in value terms to 12.497 billion Belarusian rubles (Br), whereas beer production fell 7% in volume terms to 463,000 decaliters, a representative in the company told Prime-Tass. In March, beer production decreased 7% to 160,000 decaliters. Output of soft drinks decreased 16% to 63,000 decaliters, and grape wine output decreased 21% to 15,000 decaliters. Mineral water output went down 37% to 640,000 decaliters. Fruit wine production increased 46% to 138,000 decaliters. Brestskoe Pivo was founded in 1967 and transformed into a joint-stock company with a state stake of 85%. (Br2,975 - U.S. $1) PRIME-TASS return |
